A journal wish list...

First, the standard disclaimer: No, nobody's under any obligation to buy me anything ever, whether it's for any sort of recognized holiday/celebration or not. And if you think this sort of thing is tacky, feel free to ignore it. :)
That said, here's my current wish list for journals/notebooks/blank books from around the web...
First, from my favorite manufacturer, Paperblanks:
Silver Filigree collection: Natural Midi
Baroque Ventaglio collection: Ventaglio Rosso Midi or Ventaglio Marrone Midi
Morris collection: Morris Honeysuckle Midi
Available various places, including Lovenotebooks.com and The Paperie.co.uk:
Leuchtturm Large Ruled Notebooks (For colors, my favorites are the black, tobacco, turquoise, and lavender.)
From Renaissance Art:
Large Small Journal
From Oberon Design:
Acanthus Leaf small journal (fern color)
Just for fun, the Simon's Cat journal (or anything Simon's Cat, really...)
And a few items from Etsy (keeping in mind that what's posted there, being handmade, is often one of a kind or in very limited quantities)...
Clever Kitty Moleskine Cahier
Area 51 Moleskine Cahier
The Big Blank Piece of Paper journal
or any of Veterok's book necklaces (so long as the pages are blank)
In terms of journal size, generally my best size these days seems to be anything from about 5x6 inches up to 6x9. Anything much smaller than that is more of a novelty for note-taking but not really writing, and anything larger tends to feel too cumbersome anymore. And I like both lined and unlined pages (though not mixed in the same journal). :)
It used to be that I could only write in something very casual -- in high school and for several years after, I was fond of the Mead Five Star 5-subject notebooks. Anything else just felt like it was too formal and lovely to write in. I'm glad I got over that. ;)
